Electricity - Bending Water Experiment

Bending Water
Materials you will need:

• Plastic comb
• Woollen jumper
• Running tap water

This is a cool experiment!

Steps
1.  Rub the plastic comb against your jumper or comb through your hair around ten times.

2.  Turn the tap on so that it has a slow, steady stream of water.

3.  Place the comb very close to the water (don't let the comb touch the water).

What happened? The water pulls / bends toward the comb.

This is due to the charged comb pulls on the water; which is uncharged.
